According to the Human Rights Organization of Kurdistan (HROK), Negin Sheikholeslami, a human rights activist from the Kurdish minority in Iran, was arrested at her home in Tehran by members of the security forces at about midnight on 4 October. She is at risk of torture or other ill-treatment and needs medical attention for her respiratory problems.
Juvenile offender Mohammad Reza Haddadi, who was scheduled to be executed on 9 October, has had his execution postponed. The spokesperson of the judiciary told the press at his weekly press conference on 7 October that Haddadi's death sentence had been confirmed, but his execution had been halted. He did not give a new execution date.

This summer, thousands of bereaved families will defy the Iranian government and gather at the mass graves in Tehran’s Khavaran cemetery to mark the twentieth anniversary of the 1988 (1) massacre of Iranian political prisoners. If you have forgotten this grim anniversary, then you are not alone. In fact, you are not alone if you did not even know that such a massacre ever occurred.

TEHRAN, June 11 (MNA) – Mahmud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday the West has failed to achieve the “evil goal” of depriving Iran from its nuclear rights.
Addressing a rally in the western city of Shahr-e Kord, Ahmadinejad said, “Today the Iranian nation is standing on the nuclear height” despite all “sanctions and psychological operations to divert the Iranian nation from its path.”

A Sensible Path on Iran.
A successful approach to Iran has to accommodate its security interests and ours. Neither a U.S. air attack on Iranian nuclear facilities nor a less effective Israeli one could do more than merely set back Iran's nuclear program. In either case, the United States would be held accountable and would have to pay the price resulting from likely Iranian reactions.
 
Kurdish student Farshad Dousipour was arrested on 15 May by plainclothes Revolutionary Guards officers.  It is not known where he was taken, and he is at risk of torture.
Farshad Dousipour is suffering from a lung condition contracted while he was held in Evin Prison, Tehran.
 
In the latest developments in the Haft Tapeh strike the workers and their supporters have clashed with the Iranian Military and police.
 
Behrouz Karimizadeh and Peyman Piran have been released on bail, but Ali Kantouri is still detained, and is not receiving the medication he needs. All three student activists were detained for their alleged role in demonstrations around the time of Iran's National University Students' Day, on 7 December 2007.
